Recording artist & singer-songwriter Jennifer Sanon is an acclaimed jazz artist, who is now re-emerging as Gen Josef in her soon-to-be-released debut album "The Point of No Return." A Miami, Florida native and a product of a family of musicians, Gen and her family are known in their community for the musical and spiritual contributions to those around them.

 

Gen is a two-time DownBeat Award winner, and the 2004 Essentially Ellington Outstanding Vocalist. She is the main featured singer in Wynton Marsalis' Grammy-nominated album "From the Plantation to the Penitentiary." She co-produced and co-wrote "Let Love Lead" for Grammy-winning Artist Jonathan Batiste.
